The decor of the "Acle Bridge Inn" is rustic and inviting, with an interior that preserves the traditional character of an English country pub. Warm wooden tones and an open layout create a cozy ambiance, while views of the river through large windows or from the outdoor area provide a calming backdrop. The establishment takes pride in welcoming dogs and even muddy boots, emphasizing its casual, inclusive atmosphere. In the colder months, a crackling fireplace adds extra comfort, inviting guests to linger.

Homemade British pub cuisine

Culinary-wise, the "Acle Bridge Inn" stands for classic British pub cuisine with an emphasis on homemade dishes prepared with fresh ingredients. A highlight is the "Chicken and Leek Suet Pudding," a hearty dish featuring tender chicken and leek in a rich sauce, enveloped in a fluffy pastry crust, celebrated for its intense flavor. Equally popular is the traditional "Sunday Roast," served with juicy meat, crispy potatoes, and a generous portion of vegetables—a true classic embodying British food culture. For breakfast enthusiasts, the "Big Breakfast" offers a satisfying combination of bacon, sausages, eggs, and freshly baked bread, making for a perfect start to the day. The kitchen is flexible and happy to accommodate special dietary needs, including a gluten-free selection that still preserves full flavor.

The beverage selection includes a wide range of real ales and beers, often sourced from local breweries, as well as a selection of wines and non-alcoholic options that perfectly complement the meals. An absolutely wonderful stop for lunch when visiting my mum on Monday! Delicious food. She had the hunters chicken & I had the ham,egg & chips. Both were perfectly sized portions & absolutely delicious. We also thought both meals & drinks were very fairly Priced. The service was excellent. The host & serving staff were warm & friendly. We felt like we were regulars despite it being our first visit.

We (4 plus 2 dogs) visited the Acle Bridge Inn for the first time on Saturday evening, and we’ll definitely be back again, the staff were very welcoming, the atmosphere was good, and the food was great. The comment on the menu warning that the Steak & Guinness Pie was “not for the faint hearted” was definitely true. Nonetheless I’d wholeheartedly recommend it.

A friendly buzzing atmosphere. We all had roast beef, and the portions were perfect. The plates had a rim, which is handy, but the serrated knives were dull. The califlower cheese was an add-on and was disappointing. It had been overcooked in water and had not been baked. The portion was large but not good. The Acle Bridge Inn was dog friendly. Notes: You pay at the bar(waitress didn't tell us) The price is reflected in the quality.

Great place. We were passing by after watching seals at the beach. Very generous portions, fish & chips to die for. We have also ordered soup to share, which was absolutely delicious, but we have rolled out from the restaurant - so full 😆 service was super friendly and very professional. 3000+ reviews and such a high rating are totally deserved. I highly recommend it if you are in the area.

We ate here for three consecutive nights whilst staying in the village. The food is excellent, served hot with good sized portions. Good selection of drinks available, the seating area is well spaced out, and best of all dog friendly. All the staff are very friendly and efficient at their jobs, obviously well trained and overseen by Phil who made us most welcome as soon as we walked in on the first night. So it's many thanks from us and when we are back in the area, we will definitely visit you once again.

Invited to attend a works dinner, food excellent, staff friendly, very relaxed atmosphere couldn't fault it. Great pub tastefully decorated. If 1 small minor the children's pictures around the wood burner fireplace, think they would be better placed away from the fire onto maybe a wall around the corner. Lovely place, good size carpark.

Just another place where they think about dogs more than customers we don't want to eat in a kennel with dogs barking.

We booked for breakfast at the Acle Bridge pub as a party of 5. It was a cold, damp and misty morning and we were welcomed to the pub with a roaring fire and the whole pub was beautifully adorned in Christmas decorations. All of the food was wonderful, my Bridge Breakfast was superb, hot and very tasty. We will be definitely returning as the food and ambience were excellent 👌
